The Delhi Metro Phase IV project entails the construction of 65.2 km of metro lines across 3 priority corridors in New Delhi’s National Capital Region (Delhi NCR). The priority corridors are Mukundpur – Maujpur (Extension of Line 7), Janakpuri West – R.K. Ashram (Extension of Line 8), and Aerocity – Tughlakabad (Line 10). The project aims to provide expanded mass transit coverage to the growing NCR.  The State Government of Delhi, the Government of India, and the Japan International Cooperation Agency are funding the project.

The total underground section of the project runs 27 KM and includes 18 stations. The elevated section runs 38 KM and includes 27 stations. All Phase IV stations will be equipped with platform screen doors for passenger safety. The project also includes signaling, telecom facilities, traction, air conditioning and ventilation, rolling stock, car depots, an operations control center, offices, and station integration  as well as intermodal integration.

Hill is a partner in the consortium providing general consultancy services to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for the project. The general consultancy consortium is assisting DMRC in the implementation of various work packages and providing support for construction, testing, and commissioning. The team’s services include construction supervision and technical advisory, implementation of the Environmental Management Plan and Environmental Monitoring Plan, review of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of Delhi MRTS Project Phase IV-2, safety and quality assurance, monitoring and interface planning, and technology transfer.
