Progressive Design-Build for Rail and Transit Projects: Room to Run
“There’s a great deal we can achieve in Poland’s construction market, and I’m eager to lead our team in realizing these opportunities,” shares Lukasz Marcinkiewicz, Hill’s new Country Manager for Poland.
Lukasz observes the Polish market is undergoing significant transformation and is primed for more advanced project and construction management services. He anticipates steady growth in commercial and residential projects and increasing work for Hill across the country’s industrial, energy, and infrastructure sectors.
“I believe Hill’s caliber of expertise will make us a valuable partner in these areas, contributing to every project stage, from concept to completion. We are ready to start this journey,” says Lukasz.
Lukasz brings experience leading business development, operations, and sales in the infrastructure sector, with a focus on implementing client-focused strategies. As a qualified road designer and project manager, he has led key infrastructure projects for both public and private clients, demonstrating his comprehensive skills in both civil design and management. In addition, Lukasz has a track record of embracing new ideas, business models, and approaches to support growth.
“In my previous roles, innovation was always key,” shares Lukasz. “I brought new engineering solutions to the region’s construction material supply chain, setting an industry standard. It was incredibly rewarding to lead my team in merging design, project management, and supply into a unified service. Now at Hill, I’m excited to apply this innovative mindset to advance our projects and initiatives in Poland.”
In his new role, Lukasz will focus on strengthening Hill’s position in the commercial market and harnessing the country’s ongoing energy and industrial opportunities. His plan includes expanding Hill’s involvement in strategic infrastructure projects. Emphasizing organizational growth, Lukasz seeks to attract top engineering talent and enhance brand visibility to help deliver on these objectives.
“Over the past decade, I’ve dedicated myself to building teams known for their high-quality services and innovative approaches. At Hill, my goal is to create an environment where we’re the first choice for top engineers and experts. Our people are the foundation of our strength and success,” conveys Lukasz.
“We’re pleased to welcome Lukasz to our European leadership team,” says Manolis Sigalas, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Europe. “We firmly believe in the country’s growth potential and the quality of its professionals. We have an exceptional team in Poland that supports the delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects spanning the infrastructure, building, datacenter, and energy sectors. Lukasz’s talent for synthesizing areas of project management, business development, operations, and sustainable practices into comprehensive, client-focused solutions is in line with Hill’s strategic goals, underpinned by the teamwork culture and cross-border collaboration that we nurture across European countries. His appointment is a key part of our commitment to enhancing our presence in Poland, where we see significant potential for growth and deeper engagement with both new and existing clients.”
