Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor

The five-star Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor is a historic resort and landmark on the Balearic Island of Mallorca’s picturesque Formentor Peninsula. Sitting on a wooded, seaside plot of more than 100,000 SM, the nearly 20,000 SM hotel was built in 1929 and originally called the Formentor Hotel. In 2020, Emin Capital purchased the property and undertook a major renovation to upgrade building systems and add the latest amenities, while maintaining the facility’s historic charm. The hotel reopened in August 2024. Hill provided project and construction management services for the renovation.

A variety of renowned international teams and specialists, including Estudio Lamela, Gilles & Boissier, Lázaro Rosa Violán, Arup, and many more, came together to realize Emin Capital’s vision for the property. It now features 110 rooms, including 30 suites. Its refurbished and new amenities include a grand ballroom, meeting rooms, clubs for children and teens, a spa, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and multiple pools, as well as a variety of dining options ranging from lobby and poolside bars to restaurants, a pastry shop, and an ice cream parlor. The hotel has achieved LEED Gold certification.

On behalf of Emin Capital, Hill provided project and construction management services from concept through completion. The Hill team supported overall project planning; coordinated licenses and permitting; managed design and procurement; oversaw construction; managed and mitigated risk; coordinated furniture, fixtures, and equipment; and promoted adherence to Emin Capital’s requirements and Four Seasons’ brand standards.
