Hill International is providing consulting services to the Public Company Motorways of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in support of the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) in constructing a 5.5 KM motorway on Corridor Vc. The project, funded by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Investment Bank (EIB), is a critical infrastructure development that will enhance regional connectivity and transport efficiency.
Work involves major structures such as the 3,659 LM Golubinja Tunnel, several bridges including Golubinja 1, Kovanici, and Bosna 1, and 2 viaducts. These structures are being developed under FIDIC Yellow Book contract terms, emphasizing design-build principles to ensure streamlined and effective project delivery.
Hill’s role centers on providing comprehensive management consultancy to the PIU, with a focus on maintaining optimal coordination across the project’s many complex activities. Hill’s support includes establishing and managing control and organizational systems to oversee timelines, budgets, and compliance with project goals. Key activities include claims management, technical advisory, risk management, and facilitating communication with contractors, designers, and other stakeholders.
Hill is also overseeing project implementation phases, assisting in contract administration, and preparing project reports and documentation to ensure alignment with lender requirements. Working alongside OMEK Consulting Engineers S.A., Hill will help to meet the project’s specific objectives: timely completion, adherence to technical standards, and accountability to the EBRD and EIB.
