RCCL and the Port Authority of Jamaica (PAJ) constructed a new cruise ship port and passenger terminal complex for the Port of Falmouth, located in the parish of Trelawny on the island of Jamaica. The 35-acre site was created to accommodate the new Oasis-class cruise ship and includes a terminal building for Jamaican immigration and customs clearance, retail and office facilities, and restaurants and residential units. The project included dredging 1.5 million cubic meters of fill to create reclaimed land for the dock, relocation of hectares of coral and seagrass, and provision of artificial reefs, all under the strict environmental monitoring and control of the Government of Jamaica.
