Oiling the Machine: Steps to Successful Permitting on Infrastructure Megaprojects
As the new Director of Business Development for Western Pennsylvania, Carl Hunt’s guiding principle is client satisfaction.
“The simple fact is that happy clients become repeat clients,” said Hunt, who will be located in Hill’s Pittsburgh office. “As funding becomes available for infrastructure projects, we want to approach our clients with the experience, expertise, and commitment to achieving their project goals on time and under budget and to the highest standard of professional quality. If we work together in a partnership to achieve these goals, we will have satisfied clients.”
Hunt brings more than 22 years of AEC industry experience to the position, with nearly 15 focused on developing marketing and business development strategies. His areas of expertise include facilities, transportation, water/wastewater, environmental, dams and hydraulics, private development, and energy.
“Carl has identified, pursued, and closed job opportunities across the AEC industry, especially in the Mid-Atlantic Region,” said Vice President Chuck Levergood, Senior Vice President Business Development, Americas. “He is well-known and is passionate about connecting clients with the construction management, project management, and construction consulting services they need to solve their challenges. His philosophy of focusing on client satisfaction align perfectly with Hill International.”
Hunt earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and followed that with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He is active in several industry societies and in his community, including the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) where he is a Past President of the Pittsburgh Chapter. He is also a member of the Society of American Military Engineers and Pennsylvania Association of Notaries. In addition, he is president of performing arts center Stage 62 and previously served on the Carlynton School Board.
