Hill is providing project management services for this design-build, solar power plant project in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan. The scope includes 25 km of high-voltage lines. Hill’s services include managing design and construction, stakeholder engagement, project controls, and reporting to the client.

 The project will create a vertically integrated production cycle of photovoltaic modules, from the extraction and processing of silicon to assembly of solar panels. The project is part of the State Program on Accelerated Industrial-Innovative Development and will be equipped with European automated equipment to produce 50 MW voltaic cells and, later, 100 MW cells.

The building of the plant, given its scale and complexity, is a first for Kazakhstan. This is especially true of the building’s roof, which will convert sunlight and wind into electricity.
