The Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK) megaproject is the largest infrastructure project in Poland and the largest greenfield airport project in Europe.

Located on a 6,400-acre site approximately 37 KM from Warsaw, the project will deliver a new transportation hub featuring an international airport, a major rail station, and new connections to the road and rail networks of Poland and other European countries. Poland also plans to develop an “Airport City,” which will connect to the airport via high-speed rail and feature office parks, research and development complexes, hotels, and conference centers. The Airport City will be fully integrated with the airport and surrounding communities.

The first phase of the megaproject comprises the new airport. Following this initial phase, the airport will be able to accommodate approximately 34 million passengers annually. Construction on the airport is expected to commence in 2026.

Hill provides design review services for the megaproject, overseeing the design team’s work packages for the passenger terminal, the railway station, public transportation interchanges, all supporting airfield systems, the roadway network, airport traffic control tower, rescue and firefighting service facilities, cargo facilities, aircraft maintenance support facilities, airport operations and control center, data centers, and more.

Under a separate contract, Hill is providing professional consulting services as part of the overall Airport Master Plan development. Collaborating with the Airport Master Plan Group, our team reviews forecasts, facility requirements, and overall airport development options to verify they are in line with the owner’s goals and objectives. We will also support airline coordination efforts.
