The CFCD is constructing a 15.5 KM expressway section from Gradsko to the interchange at Drenovo, which is part of Corridor X-d. To help deliver the project, the Hill team is supervising all aspects of construction to ensure compliance with quality standards, contractual terms, and environmental criteria. Hill’s responsibilities include quality control, quantity verification, progress tracking, cost analysis, environmental compliance, and administrative oversight. Once complete, the expressway section will enhance regional connectivity, reduce travel time, and support sustainable economic growth.
The works include a new carriageway, 5 viaducts or bridges ranging from 70–200 LM each, 2 interchanges, 4 underpasses, and 4 overpasses. Additional components involve installing box and pipe culverts, dewatering systems, traffic signs, road markings, and local road integrations. Environmental mitigation measures will be implemented throughout the construction phase.
Construction adheres to the FIDIC Conditions of Contract (‘Red Book’ — first edition, 1999), ensuring strict compliance with quality, timelines, and contractor obligations.
