Hill performed a visual assessment of the Holland Tunnel for damages related to Superstorm Sandy. The tunnel was inundated by a nine-foot storm surge that impacted a wide range of structure and systems. Hill assessed the condition of 19 systems including structural elements, electrical systems, pump rooms, wall tiles, roadway elements, catwalks, and ventilation ducts. Order of magnitude cost estimates were prepared for the 19 impacted systems. Each cost estimate developed by Hill was based on site inspection and development of a scope describing the recommended repairs for each of the 19 systems assessed.
