Location Los Angeles, CA

Client Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA)

Services Construction Management, Program Management, Project Management

Project Value $18.1 billion

LAWA is embarking on an ambitious capital improvement program (CIP) to reimagine Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Once complete, LAX’s transformation will ensure efficiency and dependability for every traveler at one of the world’s busiest airports.

Implemented by LAWA’s Airport Development Group (ADG), the program will enable elevated experiences for LAWA’s guests and through such component projects as a new automated people mover (APM), consolidated rental car facility (CONRAC), and major improvements and enhancements to Terminals 2 and 3. These elements, among others, prepare LAWA for the Olympics, Paralympics, FIFA World Cup, and other events.

To support CIP delivery, Hill is providing program and construction management support for LAWA’s multi-year capital improvement program under a five-year task order contract. The contract, with a term of five years plus two optional one-year extensions, represents the continuation of Hill’s ongoing work with LAWA in realizing their capital improvements.

Hill’s services fall under four broad scopes of work: the Base Scope, encompassing project management, construction management, and project controls; Scope 1, encompassing quality and safety services; Scope 2, encompassing inclusivity, workforce, and economic impact support services; and Scope 3, encompassing specialty services.
