As part of a joint venture (JV), Hill provided construction management services to DASNY for the design and construction of a new mixed-use academic building at SUNY Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City. The new mixed-use academic building, located along West 28th Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenues, is approximately 109,000 SF with a glass façade, nine levels above grade, one level below grade, and connections to the existing Feldman Center Building. The building includes classrooms, administrative offices, meeting rooms, assembly spaces, a common area, and various specialized use spaces. The facility is expected to be LEED Gold-certified with state-of-the-art building management systems and future provisions for a green roof. It is also anticipated that the project will involve renovations and/or modifications to areas of the Feldman Center Building.

Hill assisted with bid package breakdown, scheduling, and value engineering to reduce project costs and expedite the re-bidding process during preconstruction. Hill also provided day-to-day oversight for the project during construction.
